ABAT
CONTROL THEORY

If you can't measure it, you can't manage it.

Advanced Building Automation Theory(ABAT) is the difference. Evidence-based, rooted in robust instrumentation and data, and developed for more than 35 years, our control process sets a new standard in building efficiency, health and operation.

Typical building energy reduction strategies decrease ventilation and do not prioritize the relationship between equipment natural efficiencies and controls. ABAT remedies this. If maximum efficiencies are sought, ABAT must inform mechanical and electrical specifications from the start. It's this integral change in process that allows significant energy reductions and the ability to maintain or improve these conditions over time.

How Does It Work?

First, all building sensor data is received. All control points are read by ABAT. For building systems, ABAT is a living model of building information that trends, saves, and locates data components such as sensors, equipment feedback, and metering. All points are then trended and filtered. Third-party data such as utilities and fire alarms are then integrated into the system via the BACS.

ABAT continually examines the building points and external values to create optimum solutions. For example, the algorithm can determine HVAC optimum start and stop time based on predicted outside air temperature, sunrise, sunset, and heat load. ABAT eliminates financial and energy efficiency trade-offs and produces extraordinary results.
